A mesoscale convective complex developed over Kansas during the early morning of August 13, 2024 and continued east towards southwest Missouri during the remainder of the morning. Despite the progressive nature of the system, heavy rainfall between 2 and 4.40 inches fell over Greene, Vernon, and Dade counties.
