Heat indices in excess of 110 degrees.

Wider weather episode

Moisture surged into the region while a strong upper ridge prevailed over the ArkLaTex region. Surface dewpoints climbed into the low to middle 70s while high temperatures rose into the lower to middle 90s resulting in high heat indices. The aforementioned upper ridge continued to intensify resulting in a couple of days of dangerous heat.
