Event narrative

A tree fell onto a home in the 1600 block of Martin Chapel Road in Coopertown. No injuries were reported, but minor damage was caused to the house. Damages are a rough estimate.

Wider weather episode

A line of thunderstorms moved south through Middle Tennessee during the evening hours of August 17, 2024. These thunderstorms were severe when they first entered the area with severe winds downing trees and causing minor roof damage. While they weakened below severe criteria as they moved into the Nashville area, winds were still strong enough to down a few more trees.
