SC Department of Public Safety reported trees down on Highway 34 near the intersection of Broad River Road.

A weak surface boundary pushed slowly eastward on July 18. With unstable air ahead of the front, strong thunderstorms became numerous by the afternoon hours. Some of these became severe, with downbursts primarily causing wind damage.
