In Newington, there were several reports of flooding around town. Main St and Dowd St was flooded and impassable.

Wider weather episode

A nearly stationary complex of storms set up over far southwest Connecticut causing record rainfall over 12 inches and devastating flooding. While most of the flooding occurred outside of the county warning area, some flooding did occur in Hartford County.
