Event narrative

The lids of tank batteries were blown off, and two empty tank batteries were displaced. One skidded about 200 yards from its original location, while the other blew nearly 820 yards into a pond. Wind gust speeds and property damage costs are estimations.

Wider weather episode

A line of severe thunderstorms developed across west Texas during the early morning. This mesoscale complex caused wind damage across portions of the northeast Permian Basin.
