A strong high pressure ridge aloft produced temperatures above 100 degrees along with heat index values at or above 110 degrees for most of North and Central Texas during a couple of days in late June. Amid ongoing Heat Advisories, much of the region was placed under an Excessive Heat Warning between June 27-29, 2024.
