Mesonet KKSGRAIN16 recorded a 58 MPH gust at 28 past the hour and 72 MPH peak gust at 34 past the hour.

Wider weather episode

In the late afternoon of the 28th, a few storms began to fire. One storm, northwest of St. Francis, grew rapidly and stayed strong over the next several hours as it moved southeast. It produced baseball sized hail and estimated winds of 80 MPH which caused property damage.
