Emergency management relayed a video of a funnel cloud northeast of Spring Valley.

Wider weather episode

Thunderstorms developed during the late afternoon and evening hours on July 13th. These initially took on supercell characteristics producing hail both near the Mississippi River and across portions of Dodge County before moving southeast and forming into a line of storms that produced localized wind damage.
