NWS storm survey found an area of downburst damage along Snelson Cemetery Rd in the Leicester area, with one tree down on a house and another crushing a vehicle.

Wider weather episode

Scattered thunderstorms developed over the North Carolina mountains during the afternoon. One of the storms produced a couple of strong downbursts near the border of Buncombe and Madison Counties.
