Persistent high pressure brought excessive heat to south central Siskiyou County for 9 consecutive days from July 5th through July 13th. Low temperatures were generally in the mid 50s to lower 70s, and high temperatures in the upper 90s to 105 degrees. But, peak readings were recorded on July 6th of 106 degrees at the Mt. Shasta RAWS, and 110 degrees at Mott. Record high temperatures were set at Mt. Shasta City of 104 degrees on July 6th, 104 degrees on July 7th, 101 degrees on July 8th, 101 degrees on July 12th, and 104 degrees on July 13th.
