Wind gusts of up to 38 knots (44 MPH) were measured by the I-695 Francis Scott Key Bridge NOS sensor (FSKM2).
Wider weather episode
Bands of thunderstorms produced numerous instances of gale-force winds with a few instances of storm-force winds during the late afternoon to mid evening hours. There was even at least one instance of hurricane-force wind gusts over the upper Chesapeake Bay.
