Event narrative

Dozens of trees, tree limbs, and power lines blew down across east-central Fauquier County blocking numerous roads east of Warrenton. Several outbuildings also suffered damage.

Wider weather episode

Numerous thunderstorms developed ahead of a cold front. Several of the storms became severe, producing both considerable wind damage and giant hail in some cases.
