Trees and power lines were knocked down in Albert Lea.

A low pressure center in southeast Nebraska during the morning of May 21 reached southeast Minnesota during the evening. A warm front extended to the east-northeast from the low. Severe storms developed, producing two tornadoes: one in south central MN and another in southeast MN. Severe other storms produced wind damage, mostly to trees and power lines.
