A severe thunderstorm producing winds estimated near 60mph knocked down trees and wires onto Route 337 Road south of Tidioute.
Wider weather episode
A surface cold front tracking across Pennsylvania during the afternoon and evening hours on October 6, 2024 in an environment with strong shear and sufficient instability allowed for thunderstorms to form in western Pennsylvania. As these storms moved into central Pennsylvania, they encountered a more stable air mass with less shear but marginally severe thunderstorms continued into portions of Warren and Elk Counties, producing isolated thunderstorm wind damage.
