Mesonet station MTBRN Two Medicine Bridge measured a gust to 80 and 78 mph. Additionally, the sensor measured sustained winds, averaged over an hour, of 51 mph.

Wider weather episode

Moderately strong cross barrier flow and a developing pressure gradient allowed for gusts in excess of 75 mph along the Rocky Mountain Front late October 1 for about an hour or two.
