A local 911 call center reported a tree and wires down on County Route 41 in Kingsbury.

Wider weather episode

An upper level disturbance overhead resulted in the development of isolated showers and thunderstorms on August 15, 2024 within the Hudson Valley region of eastern New York. Some of these storms reached severe limits downing trees and wires and also producing hail in excess of 1 inch in diameter.
