A remnant cold pool from an MCS in the Central Mississippi Valley was able to tap into afternoon summertime instability on the evening of the 18th. Thunderstorms were scattered in nature but relatively long lived with stretches of wind damage originating from individual cells all the way from the Atlanta Metro down past Macon.
