Thunderstorms developed along a stationary front, situated over western Nebraska during the afternoon and evening hours of September 14th. Two areas of storms developed, the first over Lincoln county and a second area over the northwestern Sandhills. Ping pong ball sized hail was reported with the strongest storms.
