The mesonet site FDK Achilles reported a 58 mph wind gust with stratiform rain in wake of a single departing thunderstorm across northwest Kansas.

Numerous decaying showers and storms were observed during the late evening hours across northwest Kansas. As these storms decayed numerous reports of 58-71 mph winds were recorded across Sherman county. A 58 mph wind gust was recorded across Rawlins county during the early morning hours of the 16th in the wake of a loan thunderstorm across northwest Kansas; the gust was in the stratiform portion well away from the storm.
