A band of 2 to 5 inches fell across the county. 5.2 inches of snow was measured 3.8 miles NNW of Howard Lake, MN and 4.5 inches of snow was measured 4.3 NNE of Maple, Lake MN.

Wider weather episode

A Colorado Low tracked northeast through NE Iowa / SE Minnesota / Wisconsin, bringing a period of rain that changed over to snow across portions of south and east-central Minnesota. The snow was heavy at times, with visibilities dropping to a quarter mile or less at times. Despite warm ground temperatures, snow was able to accumulate up to 5 inches thanks to dynamic cooling associated with strong lift ahead of the upper level low.
