2024-09-10 to 2024-09-23 · Bollinger, Missouri
Wider weather episode
Dry weather from early August into September resulted in drought conditions (D2) developing mid-September for far Southeast Missouri. Field and brush fire risk increased early September. Rain from the remnants of Hurricane Francine and a heavy rain band on the 23rd helped keep drought conditions from worsening mid-month, while more substantial rainfall late September from the remnants of Hurricane Helene brought a rapid end to the drought.
