Event narrative

A large tree (more than 2 feet in diameter) fell in Parkin taking down a power pole and power lines.

Wider weather episode

Tropical Storm Francine continued to weaken as it neared the Mid-South. Francine weakened to a post-tropical cyclone on its northerly track. A corridor of up to 45 mph wind gusts developed west of the Mississippi River. Days of prior rainfall in addition to gusty winds was able to produce sporadic tree damage across eastern Arkansas.
