ASOS site KBDR at Bridgeport Airport measured a 38 knot wind gust.
Wider weather episode
A deep upper level trough approached from the west along with the associated surface low and fronts. A thin line of showers and thunderstorms developed along a cold front as it moved into the area. A portion of the line became severe and produce damaging wind gusts over the waters.
