A large tree was uprooted near New Chapel Cemetery along Highway 25.

A stalled frontal boundary slowly sank south during the afternoon hours. Aided by daytime heating and weak shear, a few strong and severe storms developed over north Mississippi. Damaging wind gusts and hail were the primary threats.
