Widespread freeze and frost brought an end to the growing season for many locations. Low temperatures in Western Kentucky fell to 28-32 degrees; however, locations near Land Between the Lakes remained above freezing, causing the first freeze to fall outside the defined growing season. High pressure had moved directly over the region allowing for clear skies and calm winds.
