Estimated 60 mph wind gusts at State Capitol building. Numerous small tree branches and one larger branch broken.

Wider weather episode

Scattered storms developed along a cold front in northeast Kansas and gradually formed into a line. These storms produced many reports of 55-65 wind gusts and a few instances of small hail up to one inch.
