Wider weather episode

Snow moved into the mountains November 3rd, becoming heavy in isolated locations. The snow continued overnight in the mountains and then spread onto the Front Range foothills and the Urban Corridor. Across the Urban Corridor, some of the precipitation fell as rain. The heaviest snowfall occurred in the Copper Mountain and Breckenridge area where an estimated 18-24 inches of snow fell, causing I-70 to closed at times in Summit County. The snow stake at Copper Mountain Ski Resort goes to 18 inches and the webcam showed the snowfall was well above the 18 inches. However, most mountain locations received much less snowfall with generally 5 to 10 inches occurring.
