The combination of strong high pressure over eastern Canada and weak low pressure off the southern New England coast, resulted in prolonged northeast, east and southeast winds which caused minor to moderate (tidal) coastal flooding over portions of Lancaster county adjacent to the Chesapeake Bay. Windmill Point reached 3.60 feet MLLW at 142 pm on Saturday, September 21, 3.85 feet MLLW at 236 pm on Sunday, September 22, and 3.64 feet MLLW at 330 pm on Monday, September 23.
