Visibility of one eighth of a mile was reported in Merced and Madera.

With abundant low level moisture remaining in the area as a result of widespread precipitation over the area on November 25 and 26 and mainly clear skies and and light winds prevailing, areas of dense fog once again formed during the evening of November 28 in portions of the San Joaquin Valley. The fog lifted into a stratus deck across most of the valley by early morning and finally lifted in the Merced and Madera areas by late morning.
