SNOW SQUALL. An RWIS site along Interstate 80 southeast of Penfield reported visibility of less than 1/4 mile in heavy snow with a road surface temperature of 31.4F and air temperature 28F during the snow squall.

Wider weather episode

A shortwave trough moving across central Pennsylvania during the early morning hours of November 29, 2024 allowed for snow squalls across western Pennsylvania despite limited instability due to occurring ahead of sunrise. A couple of snow squalls occurred across Clearfield County during the morning hours, with heavy snow and lowered visibility observed on RWIS webcams and sensors.
