With JTWC Warning #3, issued at 1300ChST on Sep 27th, JTWC classified 19W as a 40 mph tropical storm, centered 60 miles WNW of Pagan Island - which it had passed over a few hours prior. Residents reported strong winds and gusts with very heavy rainfall. The three far northern islands of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) with people living on them during TS Jebi were Agrihan, Alamagan, and Pagan. Each island had 3 people living on them, making the total population affected 9 people. Due to the lack infrastructure on these islands, there are no weather reports for these islands. No reported impacts or damage from the 9 people living on the islands, nor from the Northern Mariana Islands mayor, who resides on Saipan.

TS Jebi (19W) originated east of the CNMI as a weak circulation (JTWC Invest 95W) at the eastern end of a monsoon-like trough extending across the Philippine Sea around 25 Sep. Maintaining an asymmetric windfield and convective spread with strongest winds, showers and thunderstorms found east and south of the center, 95W lifted NNW, keeping east of Saipan. The Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC) issued its first warning on TD 19W at 0100 ChST 27 Sep as it sat about 50 miles E of Alamagan Island. With JTWC Warning #3, issued at 1300ChST, JTWC classified 19W as a 40 mph tropical storm, centered 60 miles WNW of Pagan Island - which it had passed over a few hours prior. Residents reported strong winds and gusts with very heavy rainfall, but no wind damage.
