The greatest storm total for this event was 26.9 inches 13 SW Joes in northern Kit Carson county. Additional snow reports in excess of 2 feet were reported in Flagler, 15 S Stratton and 9 SSW Joes. Additional amounts ranging from 6 to 18 inches of storm total snow was also reported across the county. There was a report 1 WSW of Burlington of a partially collapsed car port, tree limbs broken from the heavy snow as well. Interstate 70, and nearly all other highways, were closed at some point during the event. Interstate 70 first closed during the day of the 6th and then reopened that night and then closed again this time for a prolonged period from the morning of the 8th through the afternoon of the 9th. Key impacts: heavy snow, visibility reduction, and road closures.

Wider weather episode

A prolonged heavy, wet snow event occurred with snow starting during the evening hours on the 5th and continuing through the early morning hours of November 9th. The heaviest snow fell November 6th and November 8th with a period of lighter but still accumulating snow on the 7th. Numerous snow reports of 1-2+ feet were reported across Yuma, Kit Carson and Cheyenne counties with the highest totals across western portions of each county. Interstate 70 was shutdown initially on the 6th before reopening that night and then shutting down again on the 7th and then lasting into the 9th.
