Dry conditions allowed for severe (D2) drought conditions to continue across southeastern Pennsylvania through December 2024. A system bringing rainfall towards the end of the month did allow for slight improvement to occur; however, long-term dry conditions allowed for drought status to be maintained throughout the entire month.
