Event narrative

The combination of high pressure to the north and Helene Remnant low pressure to the south, resulted in prolonged northeast and east winds which caused minor to moderate (tidal) coastal flooding over portions of Dorchester county adjacent to the Chesapeake Bay. Bishops Head reached 3.77 feet MLLW at 124 am, and 3.77 feet MLLW at 1254 pm on Tuesday, October 1. Bishops Head reached 3.80 feet MLLW at 200 pm on Wednesday, October 2.
