Nine inches of snow was observed in Reynoldsville, PA.

A deep trough digging across the Upper Midwest and into the Great Lakes region associated with a strong surface low crossing Ontario resulted in widespread, synoptic snowfall across the region. Snow ratios rapidly increased, yielding a transition from wet, heavier snow to lighter powder. The highest reported amounts were in northwestern PA, where between 6 and 12 inches fell along and north of Interstate 80.
