Over two hundred power outages were reported south of Whispering Pines, near the intersection of Airport Rd and Windsong Place.

A strong cold front and associated low pressure system tracking into the Great Lakes brought a line of strong to severe storms across the central North Carolina region in the morning and early afternoon hours. Several trees and power lines were reported down across Anson, Davidson, Hoke, and Moore Counties.
