Severe drought conditions carried into November from an abnormally dry October. However, frequent bouts of rain improved drought conditions throughout the first few weeks of November. O'Hare Airport ended the month with 3.63 of rain, 1.2 more than its monthly average of 2.42. The Rockford Airport fell only about 0.2 shy of its monthly normal with 2.04.
