Multiple sensors recorded wind gusts between 55 and 60 MPH along Interstate 80. A WYDOT sensor at Summit East (11 SE Laramie) recorded a maximum wind gust of 65 MPH at 5:45 AM MST on 1/17.

High winds briefly affected the usual southeast Wyoming wind prones on the January 16 and 17.
