Overnight low temperatures fell to near -20 F across the South Laramie Range from 1/20 into 1/21. The combination of cold temperatures and gusty winds resulted in a prolonged period of extreme wind chills under -35 F. Minimum observed wind chill values reached -46 F at the Summit East WYDOT sensor (11 SE Laramie) at 8:18 AM MST on 1/20.

A strong arctic front brought prolonged frigid temepratures to southeast Wyoming Friday, January 17 through the early morning of Tuesday, January 21. The coldest temperatures occured Sunday night and Monday night.
