Light snow fell across Knox County with the highest report from a NWS Employee of 1.2 inches of snow along Sharps Ridge. Other reports included 1.2 inches in downtown Knoxville, 1 inch in Halls, and 0.5 inches in Lake Forest.

Wider weather episode

A cold front passing through led to showers switching over to snowfall on the backside of the system as strong cold air advection moved through the region. A light snow then resulted across East Tennessee bringing spots of hazardous travel.
