Report via social media by means of Facebook. Storm total snow accumulation of 7 inches of new snow 8 miles north of Brewster. Five inches of snow was also reported in the town of Brewster. Start and end times were estimated via radar. Amounts this high were confined to western portions of the county as 1.8 inches of snow occurred in Colby via a COCORAHS report.
Wider weather episode
A snow band developed across northwest Kansas during the morning hours of February 21st leading to 3 to 7 inches of snow, along with 5.5 inches of snowfall at the NWS in Goodland, and 7 inches of snow occurring 8 N Brewster. Extremely hazardous driving conditions occurred along the roadways, including Interstate 70 in Sherman county where numerous slide offs occurred.
