Snow showers arrived into southeast Ohio early in the morning on February 11th as a low pressure system crossed through southern Kentucky into Virginia. Local CoCoRaHS and cooperative observers in the area measured between 1 to 3 inches of snow had fallen by sunrise that morning before the transition to a wintry mix and rain took shape for the afternoon. The higher amounts of snow remained contained to portions of southern West Virginia with this particular event. This disturbance then shifted to the east on the morning of February 12th, bringing any wintry precipitation to an end in southeast Ohio.
