A 510 acre wildfire occurred in Shannon County near Winona, MO. The fire started by a downed powerline due to high winds. The fire spread rapidly and threatened several homes.

Gusty winds of 50 to 70 mph occurred across southwest Missouri on March 19th. The high winds and low relative humidity values around 25 percent led to extreme fire conditions with numerous wild fires. A Red Flag Warning and a High Wind Warning was in effect.
