Up to three inches of snowfall observed across the county.

A Gulf Low developed along the southeast Texas coast and tracked northeastward into southern and central Mississippi and Alabama on January 9-10, 2025. The Mid-South remained on the cold side of the low resulting in heavy snowfall across most of the Mid-South. A warm nose did creep into parts of north Mississippi resulting in a period of heavy sleet. Snow and sleet totals generally ranged from 2 to 6 inches across the Mid-South with locally higher amounts. The greatest snow totals were found in the Memphis Metropolitan area.
