The ASOS at Craig-Moffat County Airport (KCAG) reported dense fog conditions with visibility under 1/4 for two hours during this period, while the KHDN AWOS at Yampa Valley Airport was in and out of dense fog during this period. No fog was reported at the KEEO ASOS at Meeker Airport. No reports of injuries, damages, or fatalities were received with this event.

Wider weather episode

In the days after a winter storm that brought accumulating snow to the northwest Colorado valleys, skies cleared and nighttime temperatures dropped off. This allowed trapped low level moisture, supplemented by the fresh snowfall, to condense into dense fog.
