A cold front, associated with an area of low pressure passing north of the Buffalo forecast area brought another round of colder air to support another lake effect event off of both lakes. The combination of synoptic moisture, large scale trough with passing shortwave troughs and the cold temperatures aloft resulted in another significant lake effect snow event. Most of the snow fell east to southeast of both lakes, with amounts off of both lakes nearing 30 inches by the time the event was over.

Snowfall amounts for this event include: 29.4 inches in Highmarket, 29.0 inches in Glenwood, 28.8 inches in Colden, 27.0 inches in Constableville, 24.0 inches in Springville, 22.2 inches in Cattaraugus, 21.6 inches in Cassadaga, 21.0 inches in Worth, 20.0 inches in Dewittville, 18.1 inches in Warsaw, 16.2 inches in Palermo, 11.0 inches in Elma Center, 9.5 inches in Alexander.
