Winter Weather — Morris, Texas

2025-01-09 to 2025-01-10 · Morris, Texas

Wider weather episode

A strong surge of Arctic air invaded Northeast Texas during early January with bitterly cold temperatures and a mix of sleet, snow and ice accumulations that began during the early morning hours of January 9th and continued into January 10th. Overall, total sleet amounts ranged from around one tenth to one half inch while snow accumulations were very isolated around one half inch. Freezing rain and ice accumulations generally ranged between one hundredth to one tenth of an inch.
