Mostly penny size hail, with some up to quarter size.

Scattered strong to severe storms spread through Iowa on March 19th during the morning through early afternoon. Mostly small hail was reported, but some severe hail up to the size of US quarters were reported. After the thunderstorms, strong winds developed leading to widespread wind gusts of 35 to 55 mph. The strongest gust of a 59 MPH gust was measured at the Cedar Rapids Airport just before Midnight local time.
