Spotter estimated pea to quarter size.

In the afternoon of the 23rd, a line of storms formed across western Kansas and slowly moved north-northeast. The more intense storms produced hail up to golf ball size. The strongest wind gust was estimated to be 70 MPH south-southeast of Monument. A gust of around 45-50 MPH damaged a greenhouse near Hoxie.
